International Legal Milestone: Technical Structuring of the First China–Colombia Repatriation
Supported the legal and technical formulation that enabled the first repatriation of a Colombian national sentenced to life imprisonment in China. Given the complexity of reconciling two fundamentally different criminal justice systems, my role focused on developing arguments grounded in principles of International Law and humanitarian considerations, as well as coordinating interinstitutional efforts with the technical working group of the Ministry of Justice.
